As the economy is getting from bad to worst..I think history is going to repeat itself.


Yes! It's none other than the 1929 Great Depression.





This week's "Fact of the week" is about the 1929 Great Depression.





What is the Great Depression?

• The Great Depression was the world's worst economic recesion.
  
  
• It lasted for 10 yrs, from 1929-1939.
  
  
• It started in the United States of America.

• The cause of the Great Depression is still an active debate among economists.

Some believed that it is caused by:

• inexact balance of supply and demand

• a failure on the part of free markets

• a failure on the part of governments to curtail widespread bank failures

• debt

Conscequences:

• construction of some projects were halted in some countries

• primary industries suffered heavy losses with a 40-60% drop in crop prices.

• greatly affected development in coutries.
